Thank you for your Support!

Thank you to all of our reviewers and authors for donating your time and money. We met our first $100 goal! We are full at this time and no longer taking reviews until our previous donating authors are all reviewed. Once we complete them we will re-open for more $5 reviews to benefit another Kiva.org recipient.

For this project to continue, we are in desperate need of reliable reviewers committed to reading a free book in exchange for a review. Working together we can all support global education one book at a time!

Welcome!

Welcome to Reviews for Education. We offer book reviews in exchange for a $5 donation to Kiva.org to fund global education. Kiva.org is a non-profit organization tackling poverty through micro-financing and loans. Together with our generous authors, volunteer reviewers, and Kiva.org, we can help educate the global community.

If you are a published or self-published author and would like an unbiased, edited review in exchange for a $5 donation to Kiva.org, please contact the project coordinator here.

How It Works
  • Reviews for Education accepts print or electronic published or self-published books for review. One advanced reader copy or free copy is submitted via email or post to the project coordinator
  • Upon agreement, the author donates $5 to a Reviews for Education Paypal account.
  • Each donation receives a brag badge and is featured on our participating author listing with one hyperlink.
  • The book is assigned to a volunteer reviewer.
  • The review is returned in 2 to 4 weeks.
  • Each review is posted at Amazon.com and Goodreads.com by the reviewer or the project coordinator

Who Benefits?
  • Kiva.org: Kiva.org is an international organization providing opportunities for qualified recipients to post their story and financial needs in exchange for donations from the global community.
  • Authors: Authors benefit from participating in Reviews for Education by receiving an unbiased, edited book review. Reviews will be posted online. They also will receive a brag badge image for their own personal use and be listed on our contributors' listing with one hyperlink.
  • Reviewers: Whether you are a devoted reader and reviewer or just enjoy writing, reviewers benefit from the opportunity to receive a free book, serve the global community, receive a brag badge and credit on our reviewers' listing.

All proceeds will be donated to Kiva.org at the close of this beta project on April 4th, 2015. Should the donated loan be repaid, any proceeds will be donated to a new Kiva.org recipient to continue the cycle of paying it forward.

Receive a Review
If you are a published or self-published author and would like an unbiased, edited review in exchange for a $5 donation to Kiva.org, please contact the project coordinator here.

Notice: No erotica accepted.
Volunteer!
Volunteers are needed to accept books for review. Each volunteer will be asked to read and review between 1 to 4 books according to their commitment. Each written book review is requested within 7 to 14 days and will be subject to editing.

This project will fail without generous readers and talented writers!
To volunteer, contact the project coordinator here.

I Just Want to Donate
Not an author or reviewer? You can donate to our cause and still receive a lovely brag badge and join our listing of contributors. Help us earn our goal of $100 by April 4th, 2015.

Project Coordinator

Reviews for Education is a non-profit beta project created by blogger, author and editor, Danielle Thorne. That would be me. This charity is a university student project I am doing for a Small Business class as I continue my own education.

My goal is to earn a minimum of $100 to donate to a special Kiva.org recipient minus a $20 start up cost that covers advertising for this project. Should Reviews for Education be a smashing success, I will continue the project at a reduced pace with a new Kiva.org recipient every quarter.
